The AGSA collection is full of interesting characters posing in fancy costumes with funky hairdos. So let’s make them into monsters!

This is a quick and simple exercise you can repeat as many times as you like. The aim is to discover the weird and wonderful creations you come up with when you are not looking what you are drawing.

Materials

Black marker and a piece of paper.

Step 1

Choose a portrait from the selection below.

Step 2

Without looking at your paper, start drawing the portrait you have picked. No peeking!

Step 3

When you feel you are done, stop and look at your drawing. Have you drawn the eyes on the chin or the nose on the forehead or is one ear higher than the other? Brilliant! You have created your first hideous monster!!
