Chiharu Shiota: Embodied & Internal
Embodied is the first solo exhibition of Chiharu's work in an Australian public gallery, presenting works from the artist’s collection and from public and private collections in Germany, Japan and Australia and including early performance work, captured in photography and the moving image, and a selection of her drawings.
Internal is a new sculptural work made for the facade of the Gallery.
Embodied, Internal and Absence embodied are presented as a trilogy of offerings.
