Nature is in all things this Start. Connect and create with a flock of local artists exploring and drawing birds and botany, and enjoy inspiring tours, storytelling, art-making, performances and musical encounters for the Nature Festival.

Book into activities on arrival. Registrations open at 10.30am. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Guided interactive art experiences for toddlers, teens and in-betweens exploring the gallery for birds and botany in art.

Explore Evelyn Roth’s colourful inflatable wonderland.

Start Sketch Tours

Take flight with artists Paul Sloan and Lauren Herraman on a drawing journey through the Gallery to observe birds and botany in art.
Location: Register and meet outside courtyard entrance (capacity 15)

Bird Collage Creations

Come and imagine an Australia you may not know in a bird-making workshop with the author and illustrator Nicole Stewart. Register in courtyard outside Function room (capacity 25)

Start Art Workshops

Make mixed media keyring creations with Adnyamathanha Luritja artist Juanella Mckenzie and family.
