It's time to take over!
Get ready to flourish at Neo Teen Takeover: Bloom, in collaboration with Nature Festival! Come dressed in your best botanical-themed outfit and explore exciting projects from the state's leading youth and arts organisations throughout the entire gallery. Join local artists Stephanie Doddridge, Rosina Possingham and Tom Borgas for some floral-inspired workshops, rock out to live music on the grass, grab a free toastie from Cheesy Street, and much more!
👗 Costume Theme + Competition
Come dressed to the theme of botanics - think critters, flowers and all things nature! Be sure to arrive at the outdoor stage by 7:55pm for the announcement of the costume competition winners.

🌷 Artist: Stephanie Doddridge
Garden Printing Workshop: mono-printing leaves and flowers on tote bags with water-based inks. Participants will be able to select colours and different leaves to create patterns or images of their choosing.
🌱Artist: Tom Borgas
Join Tom Borgas and his Plant-Friend Photo Booth in Pleasance! Have Tom take your Polaroid photo with your favorite plants and get creative with the fun props provided. You can also pose with your awards from Youth Inc's Appreciations Station.
🌸 Artist: Rosina Possingham
Rosina Possingham will be responding to the plants in Pleasance with a collage and mixed media workshop using paper, recycled materials, and pastels!
Join Youth Inc. in their Appreciation Station to pick a flower and turn it into a rosette pin. Add some ribbon and pen an award in the centre to create a unique award for yourself or a mate.
🧠 Headspace Port Adelaide
Headspace Port Adelaide will be promoting their free mental health services and groups available to young people aged 12-25. Come visit them on the night to engage in badge making and collect some free giveaways!
🎪 South Coast Circus
Come hang out with South Coast Circus as they show off their circus tricks out on the lawn!
🍴 Snack with Cheesy St and Fairy Floss Galore
Try a free cheeseburger melt or mac and cheese sandwich toastie from Cheesy St with a salad or chips or cool down with a sno cone from Fairy Floss Galore! Vegan and gluten free options available.
✊Australian Youth Climate Coalition + SAGE
Want to use your artistic ability to create change for our Earth? AYCC and SAGE are holding a creative climate stall to express the youth's emotions and hopes for our climate. Come along to paint a protest poster or create your own nature inspired artwork!
Northern Sound System is a youth music centre in Elizabeth, with 3 recording studios and a live music venue! Come and try out being a producer with our portable studio setup and learn about the music programs that NSS has to offer.
🧡Commissioner for Children and Young People (CCYP) – Badge making
Create a badge and get involved in answering important questions about what it’s like to be a young person today.
🌈 Feast Festival
Join Feast Festival invite you to express your identity in a creative and personal way by designing and decorating your own pronoun pin to wear proudly throughout the event.
💡Carclew
Did you know you can get money for your creative projects from Carclew? Are you writing a script? Shooting a film? Creating a collective? Recording an EP? It's very likely your ideas can get funded through our Project Development Grants or Artist Fellowships. Come and chat about it with Adelaide band Stormy Lou (they got a grant for their next release!) and Carclew staff at Neo Bloom Oct 19th!
🤝Adelaide Fringe
Join Adelaide Fringe in making Fringe-ship bracelets. We’ve got the beads, all you need is yourself and your creativity! Members of the Adelaide Fringe Youth Committee will be around and would love to chat with you about all things art. We’ll also have butcher’s paper where everyone can come and write why you love art or even your favourite things about creative expression - collectively we can highlight the many reasons why we all love art!
