Inspired by the meandering, tranquil flow of the nearby Karrawirra Parri/River Torrens, Pleasance is an immersive architectural folly conceived of as a collaboration between Superbloom and Fallow. Located in the courtyard of the Art Gallery of South Australia, Pleasance extends from the marquee into a living artwork, where plants and sculptures frame intimate moments of connection. Designed using unexpected combinations of species, this plant-forward experience invites the viewer to pause and revel in a journey through a rich tactile field of colour, beauty and awe.

Pleasance is brought to AGSA by Nature Festival. This year's Nature Festival theme 'Awe' celebrates the profound sense of wonder that nature inspires. Experience the vastness and mystery of the world, from the magic of dappled sunlight to the miracle of a tiny insect, as the festival showcases South Australia’s deep love of nature through arts, music, Aboriginal culture, food, wine, and adventure for all ages.
