Ready to stay up late and explore Illuminate Adelaide with AGSA? Enjoy the witty works of Western Aranda artist Vincent Namatjira brought to life in a vivid animation transforming the AGSA façade. Continue your art crawl and explore AGSA’s latest double exhibition: Archie 100: A Century of the Archibald Prize and Robert Wilson: Moving Portraits. Hear straight from an artist in an exclusive experience with Archibald winner Wendy Sharpe, or bring the family to get making in The Studio with Jasmine Crisp. In between it all, cosy up with a cocktail or hot beverage from AGSA_eat and enjoy the soulful sounds of Scott Rathman Jnr on Friday and F R A N K L Y on Saturday.

Going Out Bush by Vincent Namatjira
North Terrace, Art Gallery of South Australia Façade
In Going Out Bush the heritage façade of the Art Gallery of South Australia is temporarily relocated to the Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY Lands). Here, ‘out bush’, the building becomes a stage set for a vibrant and witty series of encounters where the Aboriginal flag takes pride of place and ghost gums grow as AGSA’s new architectural columns.

The Studio with Jasmine Crisp
Visitors are encouraged to think of the things that they treasure most and to create their own version to be added to The Studio artist Jasmine Crisp’s hand painted fantasy world. Portraits of these treasures will become part of The Studio storyscape.

Join acclaimed artist and 2022 Archibald finalist Wendy Sharpe for a vibrant presentation about her work in portraiture and her experiences in winning the 1996 Archibald prize and being a finalist several times.

In Deep with Wendy Sharpe - Ticketed
How does an artist start a painting? How do artists choose a certain subject to paint and why do they choose the materials they use? In this small focus workshop Wendy Sharpe has offered to show you her way. Come and find out, ask questions and see some practical demonstrations.
