AGSA Guides 50th Anniversary celebration

In 1972 a keen group of volunteers conducted tours of AGSA's collection to coincide with the Adelaide Festival of Arts.

What began as a trial event has developed into a highly valued daily service, introducing works of art in the Gallery's permanent collection to visitors of all ages and exploring a multitude of ever-changing exhibitions and displays.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this pioneering venture AGSA welcomes current and retired Guides to a celebratory gathering.

Enjoy a welcome by Rhana Devenport, Director and Lisa Slade, Assistant Director, Artistic Programs, presentations by current and former Guides, and the launch of A Golden Opportunity, a commemorative publication that documents the Guides collective achievements.

Entry via the Fish Gates or Eastern Gates if arriving after 5pm.

Details

This event is for current and former Guides, and invited AGSA staff only - partners, family members or friends are unfortunately unable to attend.

A two course meal, beverages and entertainment provided. Please indicate dietary requirements when confirming attendance.

Dress Code: Business Attire

Please advise if you require assistance to attend (access requirements, use of a wheelchair, taxi drop off and collection etc.) and we will contact you as required.

This event will be photographed with images subsequently appearing in AGSA's publications and on social media.

Available for in-person pick-up or $15 postage. The publication will also be available as a downloadable PDF from the AGSA website after Friday 20 May 2022. You will receive a confirmation email when your order is ready for collection.
