Join Curator of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Nici Cumpston to explore art from the country's top end.

Tour highlights include the opportunity to take part in a Maningrida arts experience including a visit to Maningrida Arts and Culture (who represent the work of master bark painter John Mawurndjul) and in Darwin attending the invitation-only preview of the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair, the opening celebration of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards, experiencing the Country to Couture Fashion Parade and visiting exhibitions across the city, enabling opportunities to engage with artists.

Depart for Maningrida; enjoy a unique experience visiting the Bàbbara Women's Centre; Djomi Museum and Maningrida Arts and Culture Centre; Return to Darwin.

8 August

Curator-led tour of exhibition previews around Darwin.

9 August

Curator-led tour of exhibitions around Darwin including the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair and NATSIAA Opening.

10 August

Parap Markets and optional activities including artist talks at MAGNT and workshops at Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair.

Tour inclusions

Flights between Darwin and Maningrida; welcome dinner; lunch at Maningrida; bus transport around Darwin; entry to all venues and tours.

Participants are responsible for return travel to Darwin; accommodation in Darwin and all incidental expenses and meals (except where otherwise indicated).
