With the State Government’s recent investment in Civics and Citizenship education, AGSA and Parliament House have teamed up to deliver a half day workshop focused on this area of the Australian Curriculum.

Using the exhibition Radical Textiles and works of art within the theme of resistance, we will demonstrate how you can use works of art to address this priority in your classrooms, encouraging students to be actively engaged citizens.

  • 9am - 10.30am - Parliament House re-enactment of bill passing of women's rights
  • 10.30-11am (walk to AGSA - self supplied morning tea break)
  • 11am - 12pm - Civics and Citizenship tour at AGSA

Highly recommended for Years 6 & 7 and Years 9 & 10.

Ticket price includes entry to Radical Textiles.

Want to make a day of it? Join us for part 2 for an artist workshop.

Education programs at AGSA and Parliament House are supported by the Department for Education.
