Tarnanthi Travel Bursaries for Teachers
With the support of BHP, AGSA Education are pleased to announce travel bursaries for teachers to attend the professional development workshop Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art in the Classroom on Friday 27 October, 9am - 4pm.
Travel bursaries include:
- Up to $500 to be used towards travel/accommodation to attend the event
- Registration to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art in the Classroom for Friday 27 October ($150)
- Copy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art in the Classroom Volume 2 publication (RRP: $54.95)
Applications are now closed.
Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 1 September 2023.
- Any early years, primary or high school teacher or support officer who lives and works more than 80-100km from the CBD can apply for up to $250.
- Any early years, primary or high school teacher support officer who lives and works more than 100km from the CBD can apply for up to $500.
Once your application is approved by AGSA you will be contacted by our Education Team via the details provided on the application.
The successful bursary recipient and/or school is required to arrange travel and accommodation to Adelaide to attend the workshop on 27 October 2023. An invoice for the agreed bursary amount is to be sent to education@artgallery.sa.gov.au after your attendance at the workshop on 27 October 2023 for reimbursement of your travel expenses.
- The teacher MUST attend the workshop on Friday 27 October 2023 to receive the bursary amount.
- The ticket to the workshop is not transferrable to another date or teacher. In the event of illness/injury/personal commitments the bursary amount will be forfeited.
- Upon completion of the workshop, recipients will be required to complete a feedback form by 24 November 2023. This will include a short survey along with an opportunity to share evidence of how this workshop has influenced your teaching program. This can be in the form of photographs of student work in response to an activity you discovered in the workshop or publication, or evidence of you sharing your learning with your colleagues. You may also like to share student work for us to include on the Online Student Gallery.
