Student artists in year 7 have created their own soft animal sculptures using felt and yarn, inspired by the work of the Yarrenyty Arltere artists in Alice Springs. The Yarrenyty Arltere artists are internationally renowned for their beautiful soft sculptures that are made from recycled bush-dyed blankets, thread and other fibre-based materials. These sculptures are displayed in major public and private collections across Australia.

Like the Yarrenyty Arltere artists, students have used various tools and textiles to express line, tone and texture in the creation of their very own felt animals.
