Year 11 Sculpture - St John's Grammar

Monster food sculptures inspired by Patricia Piccinini

Year 11 students created a visual display that warns against the hidden dangers lurking in junk foods. Students examined how marketing influences our poor choices and were influenced by the surreal sculptural work of Patricia Piccinini. Experimenting with magic clay and water colours the students created some disturbing skin effects, with the aim of creating something disturbing and grotesque rather than beautiful and perfect.
