Hybrid creatures inspired by Monster Theatres

Monster Theatres was a great starting point for Mercedes year 7 students to explore collage and sculpture.

Inspired by the works of Erin Coates, students used collage images available on the website to make exquisite collages.

Julia Robinson is a creator of new species, splicing together a hybrid creature. Her work of art Beatrice is a chimera, an organism that is made of cells from two or more organisms. Students repurposed old toys by joining elements together to create a new hybrid.
