Year 7 Drawing - Mercedes College
Layered charcoal drawings inspired by William Kentridge
Students were mesmerized by the play of light and shade in Kentridge’s drawings after seeing That which we do not remember exhibition. Back in the classroom, Year 7 Art students explored drawing distorted shadows with charcoal and an eraser. Through the process of layering and moving the subject slightly, drawings came to life and movement on the paper.
