Year 6 Passion Project - Christian Brothers College
Passion project inspired by Ben Quilty
Passion projects are a great way for your students to take ownership of their learning while investing time in something they are passionate about.
Year 6 student Eamon from Christian Brothers College was interested in the work of artist Ben Quilty and the reasons why Quilty paints the way he does. After extensive research, Eamon took his class on a tour of the Quilty exhibition, introduced them to Quilty’s Rorschach technique and used the Gallery’s Curiosity Cards to spark discussion about the work. Back at school Eamon facilitated a hands-on workshop where students were paired at random and created a re-mix portrait of each other.
