Windswept jug is a wonderful example of Merric Boyd’s interest in depicting the Australian landscape in pots. This work depicts eucalyptus leaves blowing in the wind. Boyd has captured this in both the painterly application of glazes as well and hand modelling the handle of the vase depicted as the limb of the gumtree.
