WALL LABEL: Hans Heysen: The Creative Journey, 1992
This shows Heysen’s design for a double-page illustration to the poem, ‘The Vision’. In the version published in The Lone Hand in November 1911 only the right image was used. The left image was replaced by an illustration by another artist which does not match the style of Heysen’s image or the mood of the poem.
