WALL LABEL: Hans Heysen: The Creative Journey, 1992
Heysen painted this image onto a metal plate using printing ink. A sheet of paper was placed on top and then by applying pressure in a press, the image was transferred to the paper. The image is based very closely on the drawing Rue St Romain, Rouen and is in reverse due to the printing process.
