Pirrku Warrapina – a Kaurna phrase meaning the love of telling stories – invites leading voices in Australian literature to respond to the visual works of Tarnanthi.

The collaborative program between the Art Gallery of South Australia and the South Australian Writers Centre includes: Edoardo Crismani, Ali Cobby Eckerman, Natalie Harkin, Nyupaya Kaika-Burton, Bruce Pascoe, Ellen van Neerven, Celestine Rowe, Adrian Stanley and Alexis West. Their literary and poetic responses translate the works of art on display and discuss what it means to be a First Nations storyteller in contemporary Australia.

Pirrku Warrapina is presented in partnership with the South Australian Writers Centre.
