Pierre Mukeba (b.1995. Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo) is an artist based in Adelaide whose distinctive drawings and collages on fabric often represent scenes based on his early life in Central Africa, exploring themes of family ties and resilience in the face of trauma and war. Mukeba’s expressive contemporary portraits invite empathy and recognition of the experiences of African-Australians.
