David Noonan (b. 1969, Ballarat) creates enigmatic compositions utilising collage, montage and the juxtaposition of imagery in his prints, moving image, sculpture and installation works. The images Noonan draws upon in his work are mostly found and include archival material from a variety of sources, often representing the cast of theatre and experimental performances. Noonan's work is concerned with the liminal and temporal and the relationship between figuration and abstraction.
